The scope this site is to provide a forum where the general public can ask basic questions about Mormonism and have them answered by a member of the Mormon church (the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the full name). For the most part, I expect questions from people who don’t know much about the church, but who are curious because of what they have heard.
Now, there are some who want to argue about the Mormon church, and this is just not the place to do that. My goal is to answer simple questions in a simple way. If you have a specific question, send it my way and I may be able to help. Here is how I will do it:
- Send in your question as a comment. Click on the “Ask a Question” page, or simply reply to any of my posts in the comment box to send me your question or comment.
- I will review it. Once I receive your question, I will evaluate it and determine if it should be addressed in a new post, or if it should remain as a comment. I will also review your question to make sure it is of interest to the general public and pertains to basic aspects of Mormonism.
- I will respond. If your question pertains to the parent post, then I will leave it as a comment and respond in the comments section, but if it is a general question, and if it fits the scope of this site, I will post my response in a new post for everyone to see.
Because this is meant to be a simple site intended to help the general public find information on the Mormon church, posts that list long series of questions or attempt to lead the site on in a particular direction will be removed. Also, I normally don’t respond via email to questions, so look for any replies on this site.
